NBA Semifinals

And the San Antonio Spurs are back in the Finals! Yeah baby! Who will be their opponent? Yet to be decided, they're tied 2-2. But hopefully Cleveland will advance. It would be a very boring NBA Finals if Spurs and Pistons collide. Hmmm.. Come to think of it, their series went to distance with of course San Antonio winning the 2005 NBA Finals. Oh well, whether Detroit or Cleveland, in the end San Antonio will still win the Larry O'Brien trophy. Go Spurs!

Useless fact: The trophy is created each year in the Tiffany & Co. Silver Shop.

First timer

I went to our church event last Saturday for the married couples as I was asked to be an usher (hard choice). Though it was my first time to be one, I did have a good time. It was fun to watch old and new couples renewing their vows to each other. Some are eye to eye, some don't even look at each other, some with tears, some with smiles on their faces, some are hugging, some holding hands. Yun lang. eheheh

Sexy Time!

I was listening to The Boys' Nightout at Magic 89.9 last night while I was on my way home. They have Brando Braganza on the show telling old school pick-up lines to a lady caller. It was so funny that even though I was riding an FX at that time, I can't help but laugh... Not that they are all funny lines but the way Brando delivered it. Swabe! Sexy time. Hahaha. Idol! Here are some of the pick-up lines I remembered (not the exact words though):
"Di ka pa ba napapagod? Kasi buong araw, ikaw ang tumatakbo sa isip ko."
"Sana letter T na lang ako... Para I'm always right beside U."
"Sana exam mo na lang ako... Para sagutin mo na ako."
"Ako ang iyong scientist at ikaw ang Lab ko."
And this tops them all:
"Kelangan mo ng salbabida, dahil malulunod ka sa pagmamahal ko."

Even the radio tabloid segment was so funny. Man, that was the funniest radio show I've ever heard.

Anytime... is sexy time.

Some ranting

It's just disappointing that you spent your weekend and a holiday in the office hoping that the project will be released on time. But then when you get to work the next day, you learned that it will be moved to another date. Bad thing about it is that we tentatively have to AGAIN spend our weekend working.

Hot-headed me

I was driving to our house yesterday when a bicycle knocked on my car. At first I just let it go, I even said "Tulog, walang tao" and just laughed it off. But when I was about to turn left to our subdivision he again knocked, even harder, and by that time all my blood went to my head and instead of turning left i went after him and intentionally bumped his bike, lucky for him he's on the side of the road, if not, I would have ran him over (which's really my intention then). He was taunting me to get out of the car after that, I would have gladly obliged if not for my mom and my aunt who held me to my seat. If I had come out, I don't know what I have done to him with all the rage I had then. (yabang noh? eheheh).

This incident made me realize that I have a VERY short fuse. I badly need to work on this. Any suggestions how?

Freaky Sunday

Imagine this, while on top of a downhill road, your car lost its brakes and at the end of that road is a pit (for lack of a better word). Good thing, there are no other cars in front of you. Luckily, you haven't thought of using the hand brake, yes luckily, because if you did and you suddenly pulled it fast, your car might turn turtle. Then you thought of reducing the speed by shifting to lower gear, but at panicked state and because you are still trying to step on the brakes, you forgot to release the clutch pedal. And at last, you are nearing the end of the road and still going fast so you have to decide what to do. Then you decided to try to turn left on the intersection but with caution because if you turn the steering wheel too fast, you might lose control of the car. But you missed fully the road and went to the gutter instead. Your front left wheel exploded and your engine support smashed with the gutter breaking your radiator, misaligning the car nastily that your fan belt is touching the engine case and other unknown damages yet. Then, after the accident, you checked your brakes and it is working properly as if nothing happened... Freaky? Yes it is... yes it is. Thank God no one inside the car got seriously hurt even though no one used the seat belts. Did I say you were sleepy when that happened?

Saw my long-time celebrity crush

We were planning to watch Spider-man on Tuesday at GPC in Gateway mall (sayang). But thinking that almost everyone already watched the film by then we were pressured to watch it last Saturday. So we went to Power Plant mall to check if there are available seats left, and to our surprise there are. Maybe because all their cinemas are showing the same film. eheheh. We bought tickets for a later showing so that we can still roam around the mall. And then it happened... Freya saw her first and told me to look at her direction. At first I only saw half her face as she was passing by. I was in a dilemma if we were to follow her or not. And not to follow her prevailed. eheheh. I was then contented to see half of her by then, when we saw her again. Nice. Actually I think we had eye contact. Lucky her, she can brag to her friends that she saw a handsome guy at the mall. Hahaha.

She's Joyce Jimenez by the way. :)

T.G.I.F.

What a friday it had been...
First, we would be having our "Palaman Festival" and we were assigned to buy the softdrinks for the party so we decided to accompany Sim to buy a CPU case before going to the grocery store. On the way back, we crossed Shangri-la mall and since we have a sealed package, the security let the bomb-sniffing dog 'sniff' through the package. Funny thing, the dog didn't want to smell it and after lots of forcing the dog to check the package the "trainer" just said "ayaw amuyin eh, ok na yan". Ayus di ba? Instead of opening the box to know what's inside since the dog is not sniffing it, they just let it go. What a security measure. Then we had our bowling try-out at Coronado lanes in Starmall, and what a great time for my A-game to come out. At least for the first game that is. Hopefully my 178 will get me qualified for the tournament. I know, I know, it's not that great a score but hey, for my standards that's high enough. :) I had a spare, turkey, spare, spare i think. So, what can you ask for? ehehehe. My second game was a so so performance, just had 111. I didn't have a spare then 'til the 5th rack. Partly because I was tired and partly because I was excited to play basketball. So, i think now you know what sport I prefer playing. ehehe. We left immediately after the second game to go catch a basketball game with our former officemates. It was a fun game. Though I haven't played with them for quite some time, we still had our friendly trash-talking and "gulangan" inside the hardcourt. ehehe. Too bad we were able to play only one game due to time constraints. I hope next week, our dinner celebration would end early (if matutuloy, congrats Camila!) so that I can join them again. No offense to my Emerson basketball buddies, their schedule fits mine and I just can't play every thursday due to GBS (general bible study). Anyway, after the game I had to wait until 1am to fetch Her. :) That sums up my eventful friday. I just wish everyday is like that. Notice there's nothing about work? hihihi. Shhh.. :)

Should have, could haves, would haves

Just thought about it this morning while I was with my mom. I drove her to SSS before I went to the office. In the car, she was telling me her frustrations, the not so good things that happened in the past and what could have been done to prevent it.

So here is my two cents worth about the should haves, could haves, and would haves in our lives... STOP thinking about it!!! Don't cry over spilled milk. Past is past. Move on. Well, easier said than done i know but really, what can you do about it? Nothing much, right? Things like that happen and all we can do is learn from it and live with it. Instead, let's deal with the problems that can still be resolved and stop thinking of the things from the past. Am I making sense? I don't know myself. ehehehe
