Stranger than Fiction

Last Friday, we watched Stranger Than Fiction DVD while she's on shift. The movie is about a guy, which is played by Will Ferrell, who is a loner and an OC in the sense that he counts each step or move he makes every single day and he sticks to his routines by the numbers. The twist in the story is that his life is being narrated by an author who thinks that her character on her latest book is just fictional. She narrates what the guy is doing at the exact same moment that he is doing it, and his life's turnout depends on what she'll write next. I won't try to critique the movie 'coz honestly I don't know how. eheheh. But all I can say is that it is a very nice movie and worth every penny, yet I don't think it will gross well if shown on the big screen due to lack of spectacular visual effects, surprising twists and laugh-out-loud comedies. Just a shallow drama with a hint of romance and comedy. Watch it! :)

Another movie we watched over the weekend, The Invisible. A friendly advice, never ever watch or even attempt to watch this film. Don't ask why, just take my advice. ehehe

By the way, I bought a car stereo. Finally! Nahiya kase ako sa mga sasabay samin papuntang Tagaytay eh. ehehe. And with so much excitement, I stayed until 3 in the morning installing it. (thanks to SM appliance center who doesn't offer free installation) Crap! Anyway, worth the effort. :)

And one more, got new pair of shoes!
Thanks babe!

From Qave to Ortigas

Nothing ruins a day like a heavy traffic... Especially when you leave your house early to make sure that you won't be late for work.

From Quezon Ave to Ortigas Ave in first gear most of the time... Nothing beats that.

There goes my perfect attendance for the month. I just hope the grace period applies. Sayang ang 5K. hahaha

Buti na lang Friday. :)

Maxville Magic

King DJ Logan left Magic and his show Boys' nightout for 103 and a half FM(i think it's easier if it is just pronounced as 103.5). And since he is on from 8-12mn I can't help but switch between the 2 stations to hear both shows and unfortunately, compare them. I had this presumption that if ever Logan leave Magic, he can still run a good program by himself and Boys' nightout would become boring and I may never listen to them again. But lo and behold, Boys' nightout did a pretty good show compared to what Logan offered on his Logan's Alley show. In fairness to him, it's just his pilot run so let's wait and see, but man, he should get another Slick Rick and Toni Tony in his show quick to make it an interesting one.

But it would be a lot better if they reunite again so that I don't have to change stations every now and then during their programs. I might be forced to buy another receiver so that I can listen to them both. ehehehe.

LeBroomed!

What's the best way to win a championship? Yeah, via sweep baby! ehehehe. The San Antonio Spurs are the 2007 NBA Champions! Too bad it wasn't Manu who won the finals MVP, but better Tony Parker than Tim Duncan for me. I hate Duncan when it comes to Finals MVP, coz i still feel that he robbed Manu Ginobili of it in 2005 Finals. eheheh. Anyway, just wait a little longer LeBron for your NBA championship. Wait until the San Antonio's big three disband and Dwyane Wade becomes injured again. eheheh

Think about this, Spurs vs Heat in the finals... Great!

Kudos to San Antonio for winning their 4th in 9 years!

At Last!

Finally we did it! Whew! We've been planning it since forever. At first, we were hesitant to do it mainly because of how other people view this. They say it's not a good idea to do it outside of marriage because of the consequences it will cause if ever we decided to part ways. But hey, we're getting older. We have to know how to do it while we are young so the hell with them! We've done it!

The Finals

And the stage is all set. It will be Cleveland against San Antonio. I just hope Cavaliers will make this series an interesting one. And trust me, they can. With King James having a phenomenal playoffs and a supporting cast that believes in him, they can give San Antonio a run for their money. But of course, experience will play a big part. With Duncan, Ginobili, Parker combination against James, Ilgauskas and Gibson, yeah Gibson, I don't think Hughes will play a big role in this series, it would be fun to watch if the old ones will bring the young ones to school or the first timers' energy and hunger will overcome the veterans' confidence. Let's just wait and see how it unveils. Can't wait for Friday!

My prediction? Spurs in 5.
